ABSTRACT
The manual ledger in correctional facilities often leads to data handling errors, delays in information updates, and requires significant operational costs. Therefore, this research designs and tests an integrated digital ledger prototype that relies on technology and data management applications at Class IIA Kerobokan Prison. By applying a Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, prison officers are involved as active partners from the design to the system evaluation. The results of field trials show that this digital solution can reduce the likelihood of human errors, accelerate real-time data updates, and significantly lower operational burdens. These findings demonstrate the great potential for adopting a digital ledger as a step towards modernizing correctional administration that is more efficient and responsive to field needs.
